We are delighted to announce that prominent actress and activist Joanna Lumley OBE will be joining the Dalai Lama Centre for Compassion as an Honorary Fellow. Ms Lumley is recognised as one of Britain’s foremost actors, having starred in a number of major domestic and international films and television series. Throughout her career Ms Lumley has also been an advocate of various political and social causes, including, most recently, the Gurkha Justice Campaign. She serves as Patron for a number of charities including Tree Aid, PENHA, Trust in Children, and Action on Addiction. Further, Ms Lumley has been a vocal supporter of Survival International, a human rights organisation concerned with the plight of indigenous tribal peoples, as well as being a long-term friend of the people of Tibet.
